Our History
Founded in 2005 in Georgia as Priority Payment Systems, Priority began as a payments processor. Over the years, we strategically expanded our offerings and footprint:
We entered the commercial payments space in 2008. In 2015, we expanded through the acquisition of American Credit Card Processing Corp. We went public in 2018 on the NASDAQ under the ticker PRTH. In 2021, we acquired Finxera — now operating as CFTPay — to enhance our banking-as-a-service offerings. This was followed by the 2023 acquisition of Plastiq, which broadened our reach in B2B payments and spend management.
Today, we serve 1.8 million customer accounts, manage $1.7 billion in account balances, and process over $150 billion in transactions annually, solidifying our role as a major player in integrated payments and financial technology.
